Is she or isn't she?
Too Sexy has been very busy lately in what appears to be an attempt at pre-nest making. Here, she has her mouth full of cardboard bits looking for just the right place to put them. I am hoping this is a sign that she is 'with bunnies.'

Another nest
We were shocked to see that another group of bunnies has occupied the last nest in the backyard. While I was out doing some yardwork I checked on the progress of this little family. I was shocked to see them all exposed so I grabbed my camera and took this shot. Shortly thereafter, all buns went on their merry way!
I hope to have some domestic bunny news of my own around May 21. Stay tuned...

My new feral friend
Over the last several months I have noticed a visiting cat on the property. Even though we are somewhat rural we rarely see any stray cats and when we do they don't stick around since we have several other resident cats wandering aimlessly. This cat was just asking to be caught, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered. Without much effort I caught this pretty little thing in my Have-A-Heart trap.

Ooooh, she looks ANGRY! Doesn't she? Actually she is more frozen with fear but doing all right. In a few days I will let her out so she can be free again.

A rabbits nest
It's been a long, cold winter in Ohio with temperatures slowly creeping up but this was a nice sign that Spring really is here. Tonight, John and I were treated to watching a mom rabbit come back to her nest to feed her buns. We did not know there was a nest so close to the house as she hide them so well! After she left we went and took a peak. Looks like they will be leaving very soon. How fun to see them before they go.

rabbit show
Today John and I went to a rabbit show. I was not looking forward to going as it was quite cold when I got up at 17 degrees:( Fortunately, the barn was heated and with so many people in the barn it wasn't really that bad. Bruno, my older white buck took best opposite sex of variety which was thrilling considering I was only using him as a filler rabbit. It was nice to visit with fellow angora breeders.

This is a neck cozy that I knitted and dyed using lemon lime Kool-Aid. I donated it to the auction. I hope whoever won it is enjoying it.
